PPD
In PPD we were tasked to think up 2 or 3 concepts for a board game. The catch was that we had to list 5 things that came into our heads at that moment in time and then compare them to see if any interesting albeit bizarre concepts spring to mind. We each came up with our five ideas and we set up two categories in which we classified those ideas. The first being the 'Ordinary' and the other being the 'Extraordinary'. So for example, when I say 'Ordinary' ideas I mean ideas like: making toast, or traveling on trains. However when we combined them with extraordinary ideas such as wrestling bears. We were able to create a few interesting concepts. The most notable concept that we came up with was "Tube Farmer". A game where players must heard their animals through the underground without being creamed by a train. We think that the idea has potential, as the layout of the tube map could best suit the style of game that we would like to accomplish. A game which uses many twists and turns on the board to utilise strategy and multiple players to heighten its level of depth. In short the game has some scope.
